Below you will find information regarding your first visit as well as what to expect on the day of your pet's appointment. Our New Client Form will assist you at check-in time, which you can complete at your convenience before the appointment or fill out when you arrive.
What To Expect:
We highly recommend that you and your pet's first visit to Surf City Pet Hospital be in the form of an Annual Physical Exam to establish care and begin a comprehensive health profile. This will give you a chance to get to know our amazing staff and speak directly to our wonderful veterinarian, Dr. Sally Gindi. A complete physical exam is your time to ask all the questions and express all your concerns, so that, as a team, we can help your pet meet their individual health goals one step at a time.
When you arrive for your pet's exam a receptionist will check you in and lead you to one of our exam rooms. This is where you will talk to the doctor and your pet's physical exam will take place. After the exam is complete, the doctor will put together a treatment plan for your visit and one of our veterinary technicians or veterinary assistants will walk you through the treatment plan, pricing, and answer any other questions you may have. Once a treatment plan is agreed on, your pet is usually led to our treatment area to complete all agreed upon services/treatments. Some services/treatments can be performed in the exam room while you are present if you would prefer and if deemed safe to do so by our staff. Clients are not allowed in the treatment area at anytime due to safety protocols. Once all services/treatments are complete one of our receptionists will take payment while any medications are being prepared for you to take home. PLEASE NOTE: Once the exam is performed, the only thing you are required to pay is the $45 exam fee, UNLESS you have agreed to further services/treatments, then you will be responsible for the full bill payment at the end of your visit. We DO NOT offer payment plans! Please come prepared and if you are unsure you are able to afford the treatments/services when presented the estimate, talk to one of our staff members, so we can work together to find a plan that is good for your pet and your budget. We are here to help and only want what's best for everyone.
After your visit, you can always contact us via phone or e-mail if you have any further questions or concerns.
